Heading North (But Only Slightly)

Heading North (But Only Slightly)

We were very fortunate to find a nice rental when we decided to move to Oregon. There are literally zero decent rentals and this one was so cute and just perfect for us.

It is in Nye Beach area which is a fun, mixed neighborhood (full-time homes, vacation rentals, apartment units) and just three blocks from the ocean and several great restaurants. The library, Performing Arts Center and Visual Arts Center (all world class!) are all just two blocks away. It has fantastic walkability and the beach is so close!

I believe in realtor speak, it has an “ocean peek” (which is a lot more the higher you go in the house.) You can hear the sounds of the waves most days.

But we are buying a house and moving! I am sure going to miss a lot of things about this place … the tall ceilings (10 feet!) and windows (so many!), the large kitchen, the rooftop ocean view patio and the super cute side patio. My plants have thrived here (see previous posts for evidence.) Here’s some pics I took recently of this adorable townhome.

The rent is $2,300 a month for a one year lease. It is not inexpensive but nothing on the coast is. If you know of anyone who is interested in renting this, let us know!

Here are some quick specs: Built in 2018/2019, this unfurnished north unit in a triplex, is 1480 square feet with a reverse floor plan – two bedrooms downstairs (we use one as an office) – living room, dining and kitchen are upstairs. 2 1/2 baths with marble tiling and modern fixtures. Washer and dryer are on first floor.

The living room has floor-to-ceiling windows and an “ocean peek,” wood laminate floors, a modern kitchen with stainless appliances and two off-street parking spots in driveway. There is an exterior 220 outlet for charging EVs.

Security deposit and first months rent due at signing. Small dogs are allowed with additional pet deposit. No smoking. Let us know or pass this along to someone who may be interested and we will get them the landlords contact and application. He is very responsive and great to work with!
