Rock hunting is actually pretty cool when you find cool rocks!
The central Oregon Coast is a great place to find agates. Except at Agate Beach. Agate Beach is a lie! We live in Nye Beach and agates are not widely seen here either.
But after discovering some rockier beaches not too far away (Yachats, Beverly Beach, Otter Rock), I understand the appeal of agate hunting. They are so unique and pretty and it really becomes a treasure hunt.
